My name is Ashley and I am working to recruit policy interns/ volunteers, and those interested in community service for Supervisor Christina Olague’s office. We would like a few people who can volunteer a couple hours a day to manage the front desk. Some administrative experience is preferred but not required. Tasks will consist of answering phones, handling mail, logging constituent requests, and general clerical duties. The office is also focusing on the following legislative priorities:
1) youth -employment and activities
2) seniors
3) public housing
4) land use and planning issues around neighborhood commercial corridors
5) LGBT issues
6) economic development and workforce
Interns will have the opportunity to help streamline these efforts and any ideas on improving processes or making positive changes in District 5 are welcomed.
